Yelling Fever

I cringed when I saw this ridiculous Six Flags commercial. I don't understand why people in media still don't understand such obviously offensive stereotypes — in this case, the wacky yelling Asian man (Please tell me he's at least Asian!). I don't think I'm being overly sensitive here, given the controversy. I could just see the creative team sitting around in their cultural bunker acting out this spot. 'Can you make his accent a little more broken, Bill?'

On a related note, I'm dying to go to Magic Mountain. Ant takers?

I cringed everytime I saw the commercial this season. Even my 12yr old [Korean] step son gave us his first WTF look.

Didn't know you were a coaster enthusiast. I am heading down to FL for a week of theme parking this month! Enjoy MM.

personally i don't find this commercial racist. it falls in the same category with G4's Attack of the Show segways and I Survived a Japanese Gameshow's obsession with animated (read: not cartoon) asian characters. what is more racist is the spanish basketball team that was heading to beijing: http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2008/aug/10/olympics2008.olympicsbasketball you almost have to laugh at that one...

oh yea...i wanna go to magic mountain!!! :D lol
Racist Spaniards? They only have a 500 year history with that, so let's not jump to conquistador conclusions.

G4 commercial still makes me feel yucky.
